How the Beer Pong Tournament Works

You play 2 vs 2 in a knockout tournament format. Lose twice and your team is eliminated — the last undefeated team wins. The cups are filled with beer that’s yours to drink, so the better you play, the more you earn. The first round of beers is included in the price. After that, additional drinks can be ordered at the bar. We select the best venue depending on your time of day — Sofia has several great spots for beer pong and we know which one works best for each group.

Perfect Pre-Night Warm-Up

Beer pong is the ideal afternoon activity — competitive, social and just the right amount of chaos to get the group warmed up for the evening ahead. We recommend starting around 16:00–17:00, which gives you 2 to 3 hours of play before heading into dinner and the night out. The energy it creates carries straight through to the rest of the evening.

How does the beer pong tournament work? You play 2 vs 2 in a knockout format. Each team gets two lives — lose twice and you’re out. The last team standing wins. Cups are filled with beer so winning means more drinking, and losing means less. Stakes are real.

Is beer pong suitable for a bachelor party or stag do? It’s one of the most reliably fun activities we offer for stag groups — competitive, loud and great for group bonding. The tournament format works especially well for larger groups where you want everyone involved at the same time.

How many people can play? From 8 people upwards. The tournament format works best with groups of 8 to 16. Contact us for larger groups and we’ll work out the best format.

Can non-drinkers participate? Yes — cups can be filled with soft drinks for anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol. The competitive format works just as well either way.

What time is best for beer pong? We recommend 16:00–17:00 — early enough to get a proper session in, late enough to flow naturally into dinner and the night out afterwards.

Can we order food at the venue? Most venues have snacks or bar food available. Ask your guide on the day and they’ll point you to the best options nearby if you want a proper meal after.
